ISLAMIC LAWS 1

Taqlid: Following a Mujtahid

It is necessary for a Muslim to believe in the fundamentals of faith with his own insight and understanding, and he cannot follow anyone in this respect i. e. he cannot accept the word of another who knows, simply because he has said it. However, one who has faith in the true tenets of Islam, and manifests it by his deeds , is a Muslim and Mo'min, even if he is not very profound, and the laws related to a Muslim will hold good for him. In matters of religious laws, apart from the ones clearly defined, or ones which are indisputable, a person must:

.either be a Mujtahed (jurist) himself, capable of inferring and deducing from the religious sources and evidence

.or if he is not Mujtahed himself, he should follow one, i.e. he should act according to the verdicts(Fatwa) of the Mujtahed

According to the fatwa of Ayatullah al udhma as-Sayyed Ali al Husaini as- Seestani

Al-Sahifah Al Sajjadiyyah

Sahifah - Sajjadiyyah

Doa 17

O God, cause us to recognize the falsehood with which he temptd us, and once Thou hast caused us to recognize it, protect us from it! Make us see what will allow us to outwit him, inspire us with all that we can make ready for him, awaken us from the heedless slumber of relying upon him, and help us well, through Thy giving success, aganst him! O God, saturate our hearts with the rejection of his works and be gentle to us by destroying his stratagems! O God bless Muhammad and his Household, turn his authority away from us, cut off his hope from us, and keep him from craving for us! O God

Nahj al-balaghah 26

commandment 31

It is easier to rectify what you miss by silence than to secure what you lose by speaking . Whatever is in a pot van be retained by clising the lid. Ishould prefer you to retain what is in your hands rather to seek what is in other's hands. Bitterness of disappointment is better than seeking from people. Manual labour with chastity is better than the riches of a vicious life. Aman is the best guard of his own secrets. Often a man strives for what harms him. He who speaks much speaks nonsense. Whoever ponders perceives. Associate with people of virtue: you will become one of them. Keep aloof from people of vice : you will remain safe from them. The worst food is that which is unlawful. Oppressing the weak is the worst oppression

Fourteen Infallibles 6

Muhammad 7

Muhammad is the founder of the great religion of Islam, meaning submitting (oneself or one's person to Allah ) . The adherent of Islam is usually designated by the corresponding adjective Muslim. The Persians  adopted a different adjectiveMusalman, from which are derived the Anglo-Indian Mussulman. But Muslims, certainly, dislike the terms Mohammedan and Mohammedanism, which seem to them to carry the implication of worship of Mugammad, as Christian and Chiristianity imply the worship of Christ. The new Faith, is simple without complications, practical and useful for every day life. It commands to believe and do good, keep up prayer and pay the poorrate. Two orders giving four principles of a successful way of kife

Salat(Prayer) 4

Salat (Prayer) 4

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم :

Bismi-Llahi-r-Rahmani-r-Rahim (In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.)

قل هو الله احد

Qul Huwa-Llahu Ahad (Say: He is Allah, the One. )

الله الصمد:

Allahu-s-Samad (Allah is free from want, and eternally besought of all )

لم یلد و لم یولد

Lam yalid wa lam yulad ( He begets not, nor is He begotten. )

و لم یکن له کفوا احد :

Wa lam yakun lahu Kufuwan ahad (And there is none comparable unto Him. )

This is a Muslim's faith in Allah, which is against other superstitious beliefs. For instance, most Christians believe in the "Trinity" , i. e., the combination of God, viz, a father, who has a son, and a third god, namely, the Holy spirit, Gabriel. They combine these three into one and worship them in "Trinity of God". Also, they stand before the statue of Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus, or other prominent religious figures for supplication and glorification

Reciprocal Rights 22

Reciprocal Rights

As for the right of your subject through marriage. { i.e., your wife} is that you should know that God has made her for you a tranquality and comfort {in worry }and a friend and shield { against sins } . And, likewise, it is incumbent upon either of you to thank God for his/ / her spouse, and to know that theother is a favour of God upon you. And it is obligatory to have good fellowship with this favour of God { i. e., your wife } , and to respect her and be kind to her although your { i. e., the husband's } rights upon her are greater and her obedience to you is more binding in all your likes and dislikes so long as it is not a sin. So she has the right of love and fellowship, and a place of repose { o. e., a house} so that natural desires may be fulfilled, andthis in itself is a great { duty } . And there is no power save in God

Naj al-balaghah 3

Nahj al-balaghah 25

Commandment 31

Beware lest bearers of greed should carry you and make you descend down to the spring of destruction. If you can manage that there be no wealthy person between yourself and Allah, do so, because in any case you will find what is for you and get your share. A little teceived directly from Allah the Glorified, is more dignified than that which is more but is received through (the obligation of) His creatures, although (really) all is from Allah.

Fourteen Infallibles 5

Mohmmad 6

All of them hesitatingly declined the matter. 'Ali (who was then given the title of "Amiru'L-Mu'menin" the commander of the faithful - by  the prophet ) stood up and declared that he would assist the Prophet and vehemently threatened those who would oppose him.Muhammad with great demonstration of affection, embraced 'Ali and declared to all, to hear and obey 'Ali as his Deputy and Caliph. The gathering broke out into laughter, taunting Abu Talib that now he will have to obey his son.

Salat(Prayer) 3

Salat 3

Communing heartily with Allah, he prays to Him to keep him always on the right path in life; the path of those on whom He has been gracious and bountiful and he can benefit from it; not of those with whom He has been angry (due to their disobedience or carelessness), nor of those who go astray, and not let his valuable potentials be wasted in wrong directions. Meanwhile he prays to Allah to grant him his prayer. The first surah (chapter) of Al-Hamd (the opening of the Book) ends here. After this surah, Al-Hamd, the worshipper recites any other surah from the Holy Qur'an like surah 112, "Ayyawhid" (Monotheism)

Reciprocal Right 21

As for the right of your subjects in knowledge

Is that you should know that God made you a custodian over them only through the knowledge He has granted you and entrusted you with the treasure of wisdom. Therefore, if you are generous in this commmission given to you by Him, and if you act as a benevolent trustee who wishes his Master{God} well in looking properly after His servants and is patient and observant enough to bring out the wealth of his hand {treasure of knowledge} wheneverhe sees a needy person, you will be a well-guided person and you thus will have hope and true faith. Otherwise, you will be guilty of embezzlement {for the knowledge given to you} by God, and of tyranny towards His creatur; and will be liable to be deprived by God {of this knoledge} and honour

AL-SAHIFAJ-AL-SAJJADIYAH

DOA'S 17

His Supplication when he Mentioned Satan and Sought Refuge from him and from his Enmighty and Trickery

O God,

we seek refuge in Thee . from the instigations of the accursed Satan, his trickery, and his traps, from trust in his false hopes, his promises, his delusions, and his snares, and lest he should make himself crave to lead us away from Thy obedience and to degrade us through our disobeyingThee, and lest what he shown us as beautiful be beautiful for us and what he has shown us as detestable weigh down upon us.

O God, drive him awayfrom us through Thy worship, throw him down through our perseverance in Thy love, and place between him and us a covering that he cannot tear away and a solid narrier that he cannot cut through

FOURTEEN INFALLIBLES

Mohammad 5

For three long years, he labored quietly to wean his people from the worship of idols and drew only thirty followers. Muhammad now decided to appeal publicly to the Quraysh to give up idol worship and embrace Islam. He invited forty of his kinsmen to a feast. At the gathering, Muhammad stated that he had lived a lifetime among them and asked if they had ever found him lying? The general response was; we have never found you lying, O al-Amin!; The prophet of Islam asked if he were to tell them that their enemies had collected beyond the sand- hills to attack them, would they believe? The reply was,; yes.; “will you believe anything I will now say? Again the reply was, ;Yes. ; The prophet addressed them: I know no man in all Arabia, who can offer his kindreds, a more excellent thing than I now do. I offer you happiness both in this life and that which is to come. God Almighty has commanded me to call unto Him. Who, therefore, among you will assist me herein shall become my Brother and my caliph?

Nahj al-balaghah 2

Nahj al-balaghah24

Commandment31

Know with certainty that you cannot achieve your desire and cannot exceed your destined life. You are on the track of those before you. Therefore, be humble in seeking and moderate, in earning because often seeking leads to deprivation. Every seeker of livelihood does not get it, nor is everyone who is moderate in seeking deprived. Keep yourself away from every low thing even though they may take you to your desired aims, because you will not get any return for your own respect which you spend. Do not be the slave of other for Allah had made you free. There is no good in good which is achieved through evil and no good in comfort that is achieved through (disgracing) hardship.
